  • Plastic Spudger
  • Tweezers
  • Y000 Tri-point Screwdriver

Parts Needed

  • iPhone 11 Screen Assembly
  • Waterproof Adhesive Seal

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Power Off Your Device

Before beginning any repair, completely power off your iPhone 11 by holding the side button and either volume button, then sliding to power off. Wait 30 seconds to ensure all components have fully discharged.

Never attempt to repair a powered-on device. This can cause short circuits and permanent damage.

2

Remove Bottom Screws

Using your Pentalobe P2 screwdriver, remove the two 6.7mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port at the bottom of the device. Keep these screws separate and labeled - they are a unique length.

These screws are easily stripped. Apply firm downward pressure while turning.

3

Apply Suction Cup

Apply the suction cup to the lower portion of the front panel, just above the home button area. The suction cup works best on the glass portion, not too close to the edge. Pull up firmly on the suction cup while using a plastic pick to separate the display from the rear case.

Do not use excessive force. If the pick cannot slide between the display and case, heat the edges slightly to soften the adhesive.

4

Disconnect Battery First

Before touching any other connectors, you MUST disconnect the battery connector. Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up the battery connector from its socket. This protects other components from electrical damage during the repair.

5

Transfer Components to New Screen

Carefully transfer the ear speaker assembly (contains Face ID sensors) and front camera flex cable to your new screen. Also transfer the display shield plate using the original screws.

6

Reassemble in Reverse

Reconnect all cables in reverse order. Connect the battery connector last. Apply new waterproof adhesive around the edge before sealing the display.

Do not overtighten the bottom screws. Finger-tight is sufficient.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this repair void my warranty?

Yes, opening the device yourself will void any remaining Apple warranty. However, this repair can save you money compared to Apple or third-party repair shops.

Will I lose Face ID?

No, if you carefully transfer the ear speaker flex cable assembly (which contains the Face ID sensors) to the new screen, Face ID will continue to work normally.

How do I know if the new screen is working?

Before fully sealing the device, connect all cables and power on to test the display, touch response, and Face ID. Only seal once everything is confirmed working.
